PartyDey fee guide

Transaction charges, without the fog

Some hosts choose to absorb transaction charges themselves. Others choose guest-paid charges. When guests pay the charge, PartyDey always shows the exact event amount, transaction charge, and total before payment begins.

The host amount stays intact

If an event package costs ₦9,000 and the host selected guest-paid charges, the transaction charge is added separately. The event amount itself remains ₦9,000.

Groups pay one charge

A group checkout is treated as one payment transaction. PartyDey adds one transaction charge based on the combined group amount, not one charge for every beneficiary.

Current guest-paid charge bands

These bands apply when the host chooses guest-paid transaction charges and the payment uses the Nigerian / local payment profile.

International cards

International-card payments use a different processing profile, so their transaction charge may be higher than the local table above. PartyDey calculates it for the actual event amount and shows the exact total before you proceed to Paystack.

Why is there a transaction charge?

The charge covers payment-processing costs and PartyDey service costs for the transaction. PartyDey uses fixed local bands so the charge does not keep growing as a straight percentage on larger payments. Local guest charges are capped at ₦4,000.

The amount shown in PartyDey's final payment review is the amount PartyDey will send to Paystack for that attempt. If a host absorbs charges, guests pay only the event amount.
